2007 Early Season update

Getting ready now for the new season. We spent al last year in the 'Hemingway High Top'. Too many 2-day meetings! - All our thanks go to Roddy and Brian for keeping us on the road.

Last year saw the arrival of Cassie our Hungarian Viszla dog. We picked her up on the way back from the Scottish round of the British Championships.

2006 Weston Beach Race

Weston went well in 2006. Good start, about 10-15th after the first lap. Had a bad second lap but kept pushing on, finishing 14th overall with a second place in the small wheel class. One of my goals for 2007 is to win overall-Watch Out!

2006 Early season update

The "Hemingway" race truck is just about finished, thanks to alot of work from our good neighbours Roddy & Brian.  We still have a few bits to sort out but can now have some comfortable weekends away.

KB Tyres of Barnoldswick, Raptor Racing & Racer38.com Web Design are all doing a great job again this year.

October 2005 Other News

The van didn't get kitted out as we thought - Dad doing it himself, he is making a good job of it so far.

Weston Beach Race (October 2005)

I travelled down on Friday night. Bike scrutineered Saturday and kept in Parc Ferme overnight. Watched the quads and had a general look around.

Sunday morning was race day. Left the camp site at about 7.30, went into Weston, got parked up on beach. Had breakfast in the van only to bring it up 5 minutes later (nerves). I had never lined up with 100+ people before.

I was about 10th into the first corner but went over the bars on the first dune. Only 1 hour race but it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

48th overall out of 122 finishers.
17th in the s/w class 54 finishers.

Not a bad day - will do better next year (and I did-see above!)

We have now bought a race truck and this will make it much easier when travelling long distance particularly when competing in two day events. It will also give us a lot more room for mum's cooking gear and hopefully more sponsors logos!

Ryan recently took part in a road racing track day at the Mick Boddice Training School at Darley Moor and proved to be a natural on tarmac. Riding one of the school Honda CBR125’s he had a a great day and is really looking forward to another go. Special thanks to Uncle Rog & Aunty Val for organising it all.
